Peptides as "commanders"
Matrix peptides (Matrixyl) act as signalling beacons. They tell ageing cells to divide actively and synthesise their own collagen and elastin, accelerating their renewal cycle.
This is a fundamentally different approach to plain "hydration". We do not feed the skin ready-made collagen from outside — we trigger its own production.
Protection against hyaluronidase
With age, the enzyme hyaluronidase becomes more prevalent in the body and destroys hyaluronic acid. The more of it there is, the faster moisture, density and tissue volume are lost.
Our peptides slow the synthesis of hyaluronidase, blocking HA breakdown and keeping it in the tissues for as long as possible. That is why MOMA MATRIX prolongs the effect of injectable fillers 2–3×.
Carnosine activates the Nrf2 pathway and protects fibroblasts from UVA stress. Matrixyl signals collagen synthesis.
The structuring serum (Phase 2)
Carnosine and Matrixyl work in Phase 2 of the two-phase anti-age complex. Phase 1 delivers hyaluronic acid into deep layers; Phase 2 binds it into a strong macromolecule and signals cells to work.
